December 2-3, 2009 is sure to be a great moment for the folks of Indianapolis, Indiana . . . no, there’s no “Winter 500” going on. But if motorsports of any or all types is to your liking, you must attend the International Motorsports Industry Show at the Indiana Convention Center.

Street Car Chaos reports that this is an insider’s event, so if you’re not in the industry in some capacity, you may be out of luck. However, “you can make a connection pretty [easily]” so be sure to check the IMIS website to see if you get the red carpet treatment or you're shown the door.

Motorsports industry professionals will have the opportunity to meet with potential consumers, clients, and vendors, and to take advantage of everything that the “Motorsports Capital of the World” has to offer.

In addition, the show will offer an IMIS Safety Conference, DOT Compliance Conference, and Six Sigma Seminar so you can “enrich your knowledge of the racing industry and learn who is shaping its future.”

A 10’ x 10’ booth space is available for $1,500, or $15 per square foot. Doesn’t sound too cushy, does it? Overnight accommodations will certainly be more luxurious (and cheaper per square feet!). Hotel partners have been negotiated so you can get a great rate with easy access to the show—no matter where you’re staying, you’ll be connected to the Convention Center by sky-walk or conveniently located by the grounds. Additionally, rent a car from Alamo or National and receive a 20% discount off “the already low rates.”
