In the past two weeks, we have heard announcements about two different Boss Mustangs. Coincidence? Probably not. The Boss name is well known, and still very much in use in the Land Down Under for Ford products such as the Falcon. Here in America, it has been some time since we had a Boss Mustang, and now in the span of a few days, we have two.

According to Mustangblog, the Boss Mustang is returning with the Shinoda name attached, and can be found right now on eBay.

Larry Shinoda was the original designer of the Boss Mustang, and his cars went on to dominate the SCCA and NHRA racing series. Shinoda even had a hand in designing the famous Stingray Corvette - not exactly a small fish in the car world. The Boss made a brief comeback from 1994-98, but Mr. Shinoda passed away in 1997, and we haven't seen a new Boss until now. Last week, Ford announced the 302R Boss race-only car. This week, it's all about the 2010 Shinoda Boss.

With 800 horsepower, this car is no slouch. The only performance modifications listed are a Paxton NOVI 2200 supercharger, a JBA exhaust system, and a Shinoda engine management system.

This Boss also comes with a Shinoda Level II suspension (though it doesn’t specify what that is), as well as lots of graphics and stickers. The car looks good in Grabber Blue though, and really comes off as a modern iteration of the original Boss Mustang.
