It's hard to hold back the joys every time I hear the words "Mustang" and "wins" in the same phrase. Ford's iconic musclecar is the result of decades of hardwork by Ford. From drag strips to road courses, it would be hard to deny that the 'Stang is a racer favorite. To feed this craze of popularity is what companies like Steeda do - build the venerable Mustang to be even better than it already is. The Q650R Mustang developed by Steeda made it's debut this weekend at an SCCA race at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) and by the time the day was done, they were going home as winners.

The Mustang not only qualified first, but led the way the entire day according to Mustangblog. Also check out more information for the cars at Steeda.

Rarely ever do we see such a dominating performance on a road course like this, nevertheless in a car's debut race. The car was pushed hard around the 2.03 mile course by none other than Steeda Autosports president Dario Orlando, who really loved the feel of the supercharged 4.6L motor and the Nitto tires holding the car down to the pavement. Of course, you can't forget the Steeda suspension package either, after all, it is a Steeda car. Orlando went on to say, "No doubt, this is the ultimate performance Mustang."

But this car was not in fact built solely to take home trophies, it serves as a testing car for many of Steeda's new Mustang products that they are continually developing. The car did suffer from a rear differential bearing failure, but the team was able to overcome the handicap to still win the race. One of the more interesting notes on this run is that, every part utilized on this car is something you could call up Steeda and order right now. So if your looking for a race-winner and a cool street car, the Q650 series Mustang might just be for you.
