Now that we have entered the second muscle car era, it is hard not to draw comparisons between past and present iterations of our favorite vehicles. But most of us simply don’t have the means to own and maintain both a classic and current muscle car. But that is what raffles and contests are for, right?

The Healing Heroes Network, an organization dedicated to helping out wounded soldiers, is raffling off not just one, but two Shelby GT500s.

The Healing Heroes Network provides (free of charge) therapy, treatments, and services not covered by the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Tickets for the raffle cost just $3, though you can purchase up to 6000 tickets for $5,000. The winner of this raffle will receive a 1967 Shelby GT500 powered by Ford’s venerable 428 big block engine. While this is already a rare collector’s item, the second car you could win is a 1 of 1 “Patriot Edition” 2010 Shelby GT500.

The Patriot Edition GT500 was built in conjunction with the Healing Heroes Network and Ford, which added special badges inside and out to make this truly a one-of-one car. Badges on the front grill, fenders, and specially designed floor mats and seats all bear the “Patriot” moniker.

Both of these special cars will make a great addition to any collection, and with the money going to such a great cause, there really isn’t any excuse not to enter. Heck, it’s just $3, and somebody has got to win, right? Click here to go straight to the ticket purchase page, and good luck!
