Mustang on pole for last World Challenge race of the season at Road Atlanta

Eric Foss was the fastest man in qualifying in the GTS class at this weekend’s World Challenge race at Road Atlanta, the last race of the 2011 season.For Foss it was his second pole on the season, although they came 11 races apart as he bookended the year with the top grid spot in the No. 73 Traxxas/St. Jude’s/SPX Ford Mustang FR500S with a 1:30.934 (100.556 mph).

Video: Multimatic Motorsports Boss 302R laps Laguna Seca

The Multimatic Motorsports team of Joe Foster and Scott Maxwell didn’t quite have the season they were hoping for, finishing sixth overall in the GS class of the Continental Tire Sports Car Championship this season. The team had several high points, like capturing the first ever victory for the Boss 302R at Barber Motorsports Park, but also had a few lows including crashing out of the race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

Prior Design releases new body kit for the 2005-2009 Ford Mustang

Prior Design, a German company known for their body kits for European cars, has turned their attention to the Ford Mustang. They have released a new three-piece styling kit for the 2005-2009 Mustang that includes a new front bumper, side skirts, and a rear bumper. The front features larger air inlets for a more aggressive appearance, and the rear includes a race-style diffuser. Unfortunately the stock exhaust system doesn’t fit with the body kit without modification, but Prior Design offers a new muffler with quad tips to fit the rear …
