Shelby Mustang

Shelby have had quite a presence at the major auto shows the past couple years, last year unveiling the GT350 Convertible at the Chicago Auto Show and the GTS and 2012 GT500 Super Snake at the New York Auto Show. Most recently Shelby introduced the Anniversary Edition Mustangs at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year in January. The company says there’s more to come, though, and today released a press release regarding a new vehicle that will make its debut at the New York Auto Show next month. According to the brief announcement, Shelby will reveal “its fastest post-title vehicle 50 years after the Shelby Cobra was introduced at the New York Auto Show.”

While the press release doesn’t specifically state what the new vehicle is, we think it’s safe to assume it’s a new Shelby Mustang. Which Mustang exactly, though, is up for debate. Could it be a new Super Snake based off the 2013 Shelby GT500? Perhaps a new version of the GT350?

We’ll be at the New York Auto Show to cover the debut of the new Shelby Mustang, so be sure to check back on April 5th to get the official details and live images.
