Tasca Mod Shop Shelby GT500 Dominator

With the recent launch of the 650-horsepower 2013 Shelby GT500, owners of the older Shelby models might feel like their cars are a bit lacking. The Tasca Mod Shop, based in Cranston, RI, has one possible solution to make those owners feel like their back on top of the muscle car mountain. The company recently released their new “Dominator” package for the 2007-2012 Shelby GT500, boosting the 5.4-liter V8 to 750 horsepower and 719 lb-ft torque and adding a host of other upgrades to put the car on par with just about any supercar.

The source behind the increase in power is Whipple’s 2.9-liter supercharger system, which replaces the stock supercharger and is paired with a Ford Racing dual 65mm throttle body and 123mm MAF housing. The Tasca Mod Shop recognizes that the 2013 Shelby GT500 doesn’t just have the upper hand on power, though, and has made sure that various other parts on the car receive upgrades as well. Also included in the Dominator Package upgraded front and rear Brembo brakes, lowering springs, upgraded panhard bar, new rear lower control arms and brackets, a short-throw shifter, Borla cat-back exhaust and a single-piece carbon fiber driveshaft. The Tasca Mod Shop lists the Dominator Package at $13,499, which is significantly cheaper than spending $54,995 on a new 2013 Shelby GT500.

You can see a full list of upgrades as well as a video overview of the Dominator Package below.
