Tiger Racing Ford Mustang Boss 302S Tiger Racing has announced that they will field a second Ford Mustang Boss 302S in the GTS class for the remainder of the 2012 SCCA World Challenge season. The second car will be driven by Dane Moxlow and will be sponsored by Trenton Forging/Bard’s Tale Beer Co./Detroit Motion Co. Tiger Racing Driver and Team Manager, Paul Brown, finished out last season by winning the GTS Championship title. This season, Paul Brown Racing and Justin Bell in the #50 eBay Motors Boss 302S will defend that title along with Dane. Justin took wins in both of the opening rounds of the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and a 2nd Place finish at Long Beach. He currently leads the GTS Championship. Moxlow’s last professional racing appearance was in the SPEED World Challenge GT series in 2007 where he was the Rookie of the Year leader until the last race and he was named the Piloti Rookie of the Race at the Long Beach Grand Prix that same season. Since 2007, Moxlow has driven in the 25 Hrs of Thunderhill, 13 Hrs of VIR, Run-N-Gun Nationals, tested ARCA Super Late-Models and prototype vehicles, and kept sharp with driving instruction and TaG karting. Moxlow had this to say about his re-entry into a professional series: “It feels incredible to have the opportunity to race in a professional series again. It was a struggle to get back here, but I am excited to be in a position where I won’t be limited by development issues. I may have something to prove, but my return is mostly just to fill the void that being away from these people and these events had left in me.” Team Manager, Paul Brown, said, “We are all very excited to add Dane Moxlow to Tiger Racing’s driver roster for the rest of the 2012 season. He showed great talent in the GTO program a few years back and has continued to hone his skills the last few years. I’m confident he will be a great teammate for Justin Bell’s championship charge and learning alongside such an accomplished racer, Dane is certain to soon be on the top podium step himself.” Dane’s first event will be the Monterey Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, in California. The event occurring on May 11th will air on NBC Sports, Sunday, May 27th at 11pm. You can follow Dane on Twitter @DMoxlow
