The guys over at MustangProject are known for changing the game when it comes to lighting and electrics for vintage Mustangs. Their range of LED based products ensures your cars lights will never fail and also ensure the voltage consumption on your Mustang remains low. For Eleanor lovers their sequential taillights and their right hand drive rear turn signals have been generating some talk but now they’ve gone one further and have introduced a 7-inch headlight for For 64 1/2 thru 68, and 71 thru 73 cars.

The great thing about these lights is not only do they work for Mustangs but they will work on any car that uses a 7-inch round headlight.

The lights come with a crazy lifetime guarantee and MustangProject say they benefits of the new lights outweigh anything else on the market today. “The translation of forward lighting to a 12 volt LED headlamp application means brighter, crisper and whiter light output than incandescent alternatives, while offering longer life and greater dependability that has since become standard for LED signaling and marking products. The 7” round LED Headlamps feature solid-state circuit board assemblies for unrivaled shock and vibration resistance and hard-coated polycarbonate lenses that offers 30 times more impact strength than glass. All of these key features work toward a desired goal among end user’s, achieving a maintenance free system.”

The other good thing often overlooked is that these lights meet all standards for the DOT (Department of Transport).

The only downside you could say would be the price. Coming in at $608 for the pair is no pocket change but if they last a lifetime then maybe it is worth it? Still, I’ll be sticking with my custom made Bi-Xenon project light setup!
