2013 Ford Mustang RTR

Vaughn Gittin Jr. launched the second generation of the Ford Mustang RTR this past summer, giving the 2013 version a new look, a fully adjustable suspension system and the option of a 624 horsepower Ford Racing supercharger system in “Spec 2″ form. One other cool feature is a set of custom mufflers, with black ceramic coated tips featuring the RTR logo.

To give us an idea of how those custom mufflers perform, both in terms of horsepower and sound, Performance Autosport, who competes with a road racing version of the Mustang RTR in the NASA American Iron championship, recently put a 2013 Mustang RTR to the test on their in-house dyno. The result was 372 horsepower and 364 lb-ft at the rear wheels, which the company says is a gain of 8-10 rwhp compared to the stock mufflers. At the end of the video Performance Autosport also provides a nice sound check of the exhaust, finished off with a nice roasting of the Falken tires.

You can check out the exhaust system for yourself by turning up your speakers and hitting the play button below.
