2013 Ford Mustang

Ford Mustang sales continue to climb in 2013, with the March numbers the highest so far this year, but the figures still remain well behind those posted in 2012. Dealers managed to move 7,688 Mustangs off their lots in March, more than 1,500 sold in February, but it represented a 15 percent decrease compared to March a year ago when customers took delivery of 9,046 units. Overall Ford Mustang sales for the year are down 14 percent (17,320 vs 20,133) versus 2012.

Overall Ford sales are quite healthy, though, with the Blue Oval having its best month since May of 2007. Both the Fusion and Escape had their best month ever, with around 30,000 sales each, also leading to each model’s best quarter ever. Explorer sales were up 33 percent, the best numbers since the current model was introduced in 2010, and the F-Series posted a 16 percent gain compared to March of 2012.
