The 39th annual Mid-America Shelby Meet was held in Tulsa, OK last month from June 12-16th, offering up five days of pure pony car fun. This event has something for every Mustang fan with the open track time at the 1.8 mile road course at the Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, a full day of drag racing at Tulsa Raceway Park’s quarter mile drag strip, a huge all-Ford car show with 40 different classes and a gigantic swap meet with both vintage and late model parts.

Thanks to the boys at Latemodelrestoration.com, we get to tune into some of the action from the track as they brought out some of their recent creations including a 1993 Mustang GT, their 2011 Mustang RTR project car, and their 1997 Mustang “Coyote Swap” Cobra all fitted with a slew of HD cameras. The car’s competed in the late model race (there was also a vintage race), and it looks like there were quite a few quick Mustangs in the field. You can check out all seven minutes of footage below, although be warned that it will make you want to go to your local track and try some road racing of your own.

The sound of Mustangs at the track was sweet music to all the attendee’s. The boys at Latemodelrestoration.com took some of their recent creations to the 39th Annual Mid America Shelby meet held in Tulsa, OK on June 12-16th, 2013. They ran their 1993 Mustang GT, 2011 RTR Mustang GT, and the 1997 Mustang “Coyote Swap” Cobra, project cars. I can’t think of a better way to test out the modifications and upgrades they performed than to put them through the paces on the track. And yes they had the HD camera’s rolling so you can check out the POV action. (Warning…..it will make you want to go to your local track and try some racing of your own). After watching the video, I noticed that the 2011 was already a winner because his number on the door was “777” (He can’t lose!) The event offered open track racing Thursday-Saturday so there was plenty of action to see each day.
