1969 Ford Mustang Fastback

If you find a Mustang packing Ford’s 428ci Cobra Jet V8, it will likely also come with a Mach 1, Shelby or GT badge. Not so with this rare pony car, a Plain Jane 1969 Mustang Fastback that Mecum Auctions says is the only one like it in the world. It’s fitted with the R-Code 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air engine complete with shaker hood, C6 automatic transmission, Traction-Lok differential, power steering and power disc brakes and comes with a Marti Report and stat report to prove it. Mecum says the ’69 Mustang also has straight lines and its original Candy Apple Red paint.

So how much is it worth? Mecum doesn’t have an estimate listed for the car, but we’ll find out soon enough. It’s scheduled to cross the block next weekend at their Dallas auction from September 4-7. Check out more details and a photo gallery of this rare Mustang below.
