JPC Racing 2011 Ford Mustang

We’ve been following JPC Racing‘s 2011 Ford Mustang shop car for more than three years now. Back in 2010 the car was running quarter mile times of just under 11 seconds, an impressive number given the Coyote engine’s recent introduction. JPC progressively made the car faster and faster, though, and it wasn’t long before the car was netting nine second time slips. Last time we checked in, the car was producing more than 1000 rwhp thanks to its massive Paxton supercharger and a Zex nitrous system.

Since then JPC has swapped out the Paxton supercharger for a single Precision 76mm turbocharger, and the car is now an eight second monster. At the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, KY the Diablosport-sponsored Mustang was flirting with a seven second time all weekend, trading quickest ET’s in the 5.0 Shootout class with Evolution Performance’s Green Goblin Mustang. While JPC didn’t come away from the event with a trophy, they do have the bragging rights for the fastest pass – an 8.02 second run at 170 mph. That makes it the quickest 2011+ Mustang on the planet…for now. A seven second time slip shouldn’t be too long in coming.

Check out the record-setting run from JPC Racing below.
