Ford Racing Performance Parts announced today that it has doubled the limited warranty on its most popular crate engines to 2 years or 24,000 miles effective May 1, 2012. Ford Racing is also making the 2 year / 24,000 mile warranty retroactive to all engines purchased since January 1, 2012. Today Ford Racing Performance Parts announced that the 5.0L V8 engines from the 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet are now available for individual sale. “We are selling a limited number of supercharged and naturally aspirated Cobra jet engines for racers that want to build their own from a body-in-white or salvaged 2010-2013 Mustang,” Ford Racing’s Andrew Casselberry tells us. This isn’t the first time the powerplant of the turn-key drag racer has been offered to customers, as the previous 5.4L versions have been listed in the FRPP catalog as well.

Earlier this year Ford Racing Performance Parts made available the standard 19-inch wheels found on the Boss 302S race car. Many of the Boss 302S race cars (including Paul Brown’s championship-winning Boss 302S) run a BBS 18-inch wheel, though, and now Ford Racing has made them available for sale as well. Part # M-1007-R1895, the 18 x 9.5 inch wheel fits both the front and rear and features a 5-lug, 4.5-inch bolt circle with 7.2-inch backspacing.
