Cobra Jet Challenge announced for Fun Ford Weekend events

Fun Ford Weekend has announced the creation of the Cobra Jet Challenge, a special class devoted to the FR500CJ Cobra Jet Mustangs produced by Ford Racing. The race class will be sponsored by Aeromotive, with the first event being held at the Fun Ford Weekend season-opener at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas from March 23-24.

Fun Ford Weekend announces 2012 schedule

In early 2011, a group of North American motorsports facility owners, led by Texas Motorplex (Ennis, Texas) owner Billy Meyer, worked to bring back the Fun Ford Weekend series because of popular demand. FFW successfully completed the 2011 season under new management, and now they have announced that they will return next year with an expanded event schedule for 2012.  The series will grow to 12 events in nine different U.S. states as well as one event in Canada.
