Justin Bell had an impressive run at the first of two World Challenge races in St. Petersburg this weekend, climbing from 7th to finish in 1st place in the No. 50 Tiger Racing Mustang Boss 302S. The Tiger Racing Boss 302S started the 2012 SCCA World Challenge season like it did most of all last year – on top of the podium in the GTS class. The win didn’t come without difficulties, though. To start things off, Paul Brown, the usual driver of the No. 50 Boss 302S, was sidelined to due minor surgery and Justin Bell was brought in at the last minute to replace him. It’s no exaggeration to say that Paul Brown had an incredible year in the SCCA World Challenge this year. After Brown and his Tiger Racing team built the Boss 302S race car prototype, they proceeded to take the checkered flag in five of the twelve races, finished on the podium in four additional races, led more laps than any other driver and captured the GTS class drivers championship.
