Vaughn Gittin Jr. revealed the newly updated livery of his 2013 Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang RTR at an exclusive party hosted by Hoonigan at the Pike Restaurant and Bar last night. Vaughn Gittin Jr’s Mustang RTR has teamed up with Performance Autosport for the 2012 American Iron season, with the team’s Mustang race car now featuring RTR body components and graphics as part of the new partnership. Mustang RTR and Bosch have announced that James Casity Sr. from Stockton, California, won the one-of-a-kind 2011 Ford Mustang RTR Grand Prize in the exciting Bosch Iridium Edition Mustang RTR Sweepstakes. 2010 Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. presented Casity with the Mustang in a ceremony at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.

At SEMA last year Vaughn Gittin Jr. took the wraps off his 1969 Mustang RTR-X. At the time he promised the car wouldn’t be a trailer queen, saying “this car is built to be driven. We’re big fans of Vaughn Gittin Jr’s Mustang RTR, so we’re happy to bring you a new photo gallery of the car in Grabber Blue courtesy of Autoblog.com. who have just posted a review of the car. The final event of the Formula Drift season is at Irwindale Speedway this weekend, and 2010 champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. came with more than just his competition Mustang. He also brought out his 1969 Mustang RTR-X to display in the paddock, and it was definitely one of the crowd favorites. For the past few weeks Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his team have been getting the one-off Bosch Iridium Edition Mustang RTR ready for its debut. The last time we updated you on the car it had just arrived at Classic Design Concepts and Gittin and the CDC crew had just finalized the design.
