Back in March we told you about a one-of-one 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake that would be crossing the block at Mecum’s Spring Classic Auction in Indianapolis, and now the results are in. It looks like Shelby will have a very busy Detroit Auto Show, as company president John Luft has revealed that the best GT500 Super Snake yet will make its debut at on Tuesday, January 15th. “I certainly don’t want to tip my hand, but I can say in Detroit, we will unveil the gotta-have Super Snake of all time,” Luft told the Detroit Free Press.

At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit earlier this month Shelby unveiled a series of Anniversary Edition Mustangs. Available on the GT350, GTS and GT500 Super Snake, these cars were built to celebrate Shelby’s 50th anniversary and feature special paint – either white or black with gold stripes – as well as special badging and interiors. SEMA 2011: Shelby GT500 Super Snake Widebody

Earlier this week we showed you a preview of this very special Shelby GT500 Super Snake while it was still under construction at Galpin Auto Sports. The car is now  finished and is on center stage at  Galpin’s display here at the 2011 SEMA Show.
