Earlier today Shelby unveiled its latest Mustang creation at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit – the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake Widebody. We’ve already told you all the details earlier, including the 3-inch and 6-inch gain in width, front and rear respectively, the 20-inch wheels and tires, and the 850 horsepower supercharged V8.

Today Shelby American unveiled its new 850 horsepower 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake Widebody at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Adding six inches of width to the rear of the car, the new optional widebody kit allows massive 345/35/20 rear tires to be fitted. The front portion of the kit completes the look with an additional three inches of width.

SEMA 2011: Steeda Widebody Mustang

Last year at SEMA Steeda debuted their impressive Q650 Streetfighter Mustang featuring their various suspension products, Steeda bodywork and a Ford Racing supercharger system. Steeda is back for this year, with this custom widebody Mustang on display in the Nitto Tire booth. The custom bodywork comes courtesy of Galpin Auto Sports, accented by Forgiato 22-inch wheels, Nitto Invo tires and subtle Steeda Sidewinder graphics. SEMA 2011: Galpin Widebody Mustang Boss 302-X

We’ve been following the progress of this custom Mustang Boss 302 since we first saw it under construction at Galpin Auto Sports, and now it’s finally been unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. So what’s so special about this Boss 302? For starters, Galpin has given it their trademark widebody treatment, adding an incredible nine inches to the width of the car via hand-made steel body panels. This 1966 Mustang coupe stood out in the crowd of show cars here at SEMA with its four-inch fender flares and huge front splitter and rear wing. Owned by Filip Trojanek, this Mustang is built purely for road racing with a CorteX SLA front suspension and watts linkage, Öhlins TTX coilover suspension, and Jongbloed 18-inch split-spoke racing wheels and Stoptech brakes both front and rear. SEMA 2011: Shelby GT500 Super Snake Widebody

Earlier this week we showed you a preview of this very special Shelby GT500 Super Snake while it was still under construction at Galpin Auto Sports. The car is now  finished and is on center stage at  Galpin’s display here at the 2011 SEMA Show.
